Jean and her family lived in several locations around the town and it was whilst she was living in Pound Hill that she attended Worth School, it was here that she met several friends who were to progress through school with her and onto Ifield Grammar School, where she added more friendsto her list , these friendships have been close and lifelong and continue to this day, many of those friends married friends of Peter.
This group of people have maintained close friendships and families raised their families within a tight knit circle .
Jean met peter when she was 15 but it was agreed that they would not see each other until Jean had completed her studies,by the time she was 16, having achieved her goals of several O levels, Jean & Peter stared going out together, they became engaged and married on Sept 15th 1962 .
in 1964 they had their first born a son Paul Wesley and in 1966 a second son Gary Lee
They celdrated silver wedding anniversary in 1987and in 2002 they celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary.
